Gen6 2007 Camry Acceleration/Hesitation Issues

I tried searching for this in the forum, but couldn't find any threads on my problem...

I purchased a 2007 Camry LE v4 back in Nov. 2006. It seemed to run well at the dealership when I test drove it. Ever since I bought it, I have noticed a lot of hesitancy during acceleration. When I'm at stops or signals, the car takes it's sweet time going from the 1st RPM to the 2nd RPM. I have to hit the gas in order for it to have normal acceleration. The car just revs up as if I'm in a race. After the 2nd RPM, it seems ok as it goes to 3 and 4 RPMs. When I make turn off a signal (not stopped), it drops to the 1st RPM and then it takes a good 5 seconds to go back to the 2nd RPM. I've got to once again hit the gas in order for it to have normal acceleration.

Even during cruise control, there have been bursts of excessive RPMs. The car doesn't stay consistent w/ the speed I put for cruise control. I have no idea why the speed drops and the car has to punch extra RPM to get back to the cruise control speed.

I have taken it to 3 Toyota Dealerships and have had 2 TSBs to update computer software. I have even taken it to a mom-and-pop shop to have them look at it. They couldn't figure it out either. They told me nothing is wrong. I don't know what to do. I love the car, but is there anything else that can be done about this? Is there something I haven't heard?

Being a NEWB to the forum, I have come to the mercy of the experts at Toyota Nation. Please HELP!!!

1. No V4's in the Camry.
2. Numerous threads on I4 hesitation
3. This is the last major one - TSB EG036-07 I4 ECM Calibration - 8/2/07
4. The cruise control is doing what it should - using the throttle and then downshifting to maintain the set speed. The I4 has low torque/hp at 2,000 RPM in OD. Try to hold the set speed w/o the cruise and it will do the same thing.

Basically all they will say at the dealer is that this is normal behavior of the drive by wire system and that it is functioning as it should. Try unhooking the battery for about 10 minutes, re-connecting as to clear its memory of how you drive the car so that it may "re-learn" to drive the way you want it to. it will definately still have slight hesitation, but it might not be "as bad"

Which TSBs were applied to the car and when (within the last two months)? Your service paperwork will have the IDs.
The symptoms you describe are similar to the way my car behaved before I had EG036-07 applied. For me, most of the hesitations went away after the update, and others in the thread njerald linked have had the same experience.
