5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Whenever I roll down the right passenger rear window, it squeaks. While its rolling down. It's very noticeable. When its rolling down or up it squeaks in fact. Does anybody know what the problem is or have they had this problem?
I ran a search on the forums using the keywords 07+window+noise.
Don't bother with the dealership - they're stupid and incompetent. Besides, they just follow instructions instead of really finding the source of the problem.
Both front windows squeak from time to time. On both sides of the glass, there is a lining. Part of the lining on the inside sometimes turns inside-out. In other words, that lining no longer points upward, but instead folds down into the door.
So I use a PLASTIC taping knife to bring the lining back up. And that stops the squeaking instantly.
Use this (except make sure it's plastic):

That's a good tip. I'll try to remember that when this happens to me.

This happened to me, my rear passenger window pulled the wiper inside the door. I was able to get it right side out. However, my regulator, and window motor had to be change, along with the ruber/felt wipe. Just one of my visits to the Toyo shop to get warranty work done.....
Whoa, so I can take it to any Toyota dealership and say I have a warranty?
There's a Sterling McCall Toyota very close to my house but I will never go there. Their view on customer satisfaction is just as bad as the transmission on a ford aerostar.

Reason: Put toyota before the word dealership.
Any dealership in the US must honor original factory warranty. You dont need to tell them you have a warranty. Every single New vehicle of any make and model has a factory bumper to bumper warranty of at least 3 years/ 36,000 miles.
