5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I am having a very difficult time looking for Gen6 performance parts. The only thing I have found was a Fujita Cold Air Intake. If you consider the TRD springs as performance, than I have found those as well. If anybody knows where I can get a head and cam at, please let me know or tell me of other companies making Cold Airs or anything else for that matter. Thanks!

Cold air intakes are worthless and in the end rob you of power, because they suck in heat, just get the TRD or K&N drop in filter. There's no performance parts for the Camry because it's not a performance car. But if you have money you can do anything to any car.

You're thinking of short-ram air intakes, which suck in hot air. Cold air intakes usually go into the fender and suck up colder outside air, however they can get water inside much easier.
or drop the engine and slap in a 2jz and a rwd conversion
Hahaha RWD conversion. Why? So that in rainy or snowy weather you won't be able to get the car going? Or even if you do, the tail will come out to one side? Yeah real useful on a family car like the Camry.

precisely! you can opt to get the AWD system from the jdm gen 6 camry too!
on the more serious side, there really is nothing much for the 4cyl camry in terms of aftermarket performance parts unless you do go custom..sadly.

If you spend the money for such a custom mod like engine/tranny swap....don't you think it wouldn't be a daily driver?

You have to be happy with the engine performance, assuming you bought the V6. The Camry goes 0-60 in under 6 seconds. That's plenty fast for me. Handling is another matter altogether. If you read any of the reviews for this car you knew you were buying a soft riding with mushy steering response.
You can fix the suspension...or some of it, with TRD springs, RSB and STB and that stiffens it up quite a bit, and get rims and better tires and handling inproves drastically.
