Gen6 Insist on Hunter's Road Force tire balancing machines

We often see threads come through where tire balancing is discussed. We all want the job done right when its time for new tires/wheels. One way to be assured that your tires are balanced correctly is to seek out shops that use the Hunter Road Force GSP 9700 machine. It is state of the art and will give you peace of mind. Once I found out what it was capable of I have gone out of my way to find tire stores that use the Hunter when I needed new tires installed. Not easy to find, its an expensive piece of machinery that most stores wished they had. Tire Rack has good technical info on it at www.tirerack.com Once you have seen it in action you be a believer!

It still requires an operator that knows what's going on for it to work correctly.

Unfortunately, that's usually where the problem is in the first place.

Absolutely. We had one of these machines as the dealership, and the things you can do with it are amazing. However, as TRD mentioned, it won't operate itself. It takes some extra time and effort to use, and that is usually expressed in the bill. The only time that I ever balance my tires anymore is when I head home for vacation and stop by the old shop so I can do it myself.

That is the most important thing to find. An operator who will not damage the wheels and then take the time to balance them carefully and correctly

How often should you balance? For that matter alignment too.
