TPMS Swap

Anything wrong with upgrading to 17" SE wheels/Tires and swapping the TPMS from 16" to 17" wheels? The wheel/tires I am buying don't have air pressure sensors as far as I know. Thanks.

You shouldn't have no problem at all switching. As long as whoever is installing them know what they are doing. I have a 07 CE. I went from 16's to 18's. Sears installed mine.

I was told that the Toyota part # is 42607-06011
and it is the same part number no matter what wheel (steel vs alloy)
I have an 08 camry with stock steel wheels and I want to put on some 17" stock alloy wheels and I was told that the current monitors would fit.

Ouch...it cost me $20 per wheel last time. Out the door was $80 cash transfer the TPMS from the old wheels to new wheels and rebalanced the 2 sets of old and new wheels (total of 8 wheels/tires)

I went from 16" steel to 18" GS430 alloy with no problem. America's/Discount Tire did the swap. They included the swap when they put the tires on since I purchased the tires from them so I can't tell you what they would charge to just swap.

Everything went fine and has been fine.
