5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hey guys....I just wanted to come here and vent what happened last night around 8:30 PM. I was at my fiance cousins bday party just hanging out when all of a sudden we hear a big BOOM! I thought nothing of it but every one was curious as to what had just happened. Her uncle went outside and quickly came back asking about a camry. I walk out the door only to see my 2007 camry bought in 11/07 to be hit AGAIN by a drunk driver. This is the third time this year my car had to be repaired. I just got my windows tinted yesterday too! Is this a sign? I will try to link some pix
History of the car
May 07
I was trying to reverse park when some guy decided he was not going to wait and jumped into my parking space to manuver around me so we collided.
June? 07
Fiances sister tried to park the car into the driveway but turned to early only to rip off my back bumper again and scratched my passenger back door, rocker panel and rear quarter panel
October 07
Driver side of the door smashed by a drunk driver.
More importantly, i hope the driver has insurance and isn't a deadbeat.
If you repair the car and sell it, you will surely lose more $ due to depreciation attributed to the car's past history. Though your car seems to be a bad luck charm, you still might consider holding it.
Maybe you should stick a bobble-head Taco Bell dog in your car for good luck.

Could be bad karma though....
Dad had a Seqoiua...it was purchased fully with the money my mom recieved from some guy for hitting her, even though there was no damage done at all...but she worked their pockets....
In one year he had three MAJOR accidents...its in the front yard totaled now...

Sorry about the late reply but I just got back getting estimates for the car and its around 7k. As for the guy...he was hit with a DUI the night of the accident. I found out yesterday when the CHP officer called me. He does have insurance and I will definitely go through his insurance for the repair. They said that they might have to cut the body and weld on another one. I am really debating keeping the car but $$$ plays a big factor as this will affect the resale value. I will keep you guys posted on what happens next.

I have a question...can I get the other insurance to buy the vehicle off my hands at fair market value since I purchased a brand new car and not a car that has been "clipped"? I live in california and was wondering if there are any legal advisors out there. Thanks
