2005 Camry SE - New tire time

My 05 camry se 4cyl is needing some new tires pretty soon as the car is just over 30,000 miles and winter is near.

The OEM tire size is 215/60/16 and I have been doing a little shopping.

Who has replaced their tires on these wheels before? Has anyone tried a 225/50/15 instead???

i like the tires i mentioned above, good handling, in dry and wet weather. I've never used them in the winter so i can't tell you how they'll be in the winter. I've only had my car a year and a few months, but i did buy winter tires and rims last year so i've never needed to try the Potenza's in the snow.

I'm thinking the tires you guys have suggested might be a bit high on the performance side and thus not work very well in the snow.

I'd go with Cor's opinions on the tires. I've never driven my Camry in the snow other than with Michelin X-Ice snow tires. But my Potenza's are great in the summer and wet conditions.

I really like the look that they are a bit wider and stick out a bit compared to the rim. I was thinking of going with a 225 but if the 215 does look like that for the vs4 I'll go OEM!
