are you using a JBL premium sound system adaptor? The Z2 has two blue turn on wires. One if for the power ant. and the other is for an amplifier. If you have sound with only the fm tuner then most likely you are using just the ant. turn on lead to power up the JBL premium sound system. Switch the blue wire for remote turn on and you should be good to go!

i am a little confused as to how you are getting sound period. if you have the jbl system, how did you wire it up? i didnt think that you could wire up an aftermarket headunit without either bypassing the jbl totally or buying some adapter

Well thats what the guy at the audio place said to, that I needed some adapter that would cost me 150 bucks, but he sold me some wire for an 06 tundra, that he said could probably work, and I was really happy that the radio started working and the navigation voices worked also, but no sound from the cd,dvd, or music from the built in hard drive.

could you give us an overview of your installation steps? and just to confirm again, you currently only replace the HU and still have all the stock JBL speakers and everything
