I have TRD springs installed, and I really like the drop it gives (1-1.5"), nothing to crazy, but thats the way I like it. It also improves handling quite a bit.
The only downside I would say is that the rear sags a bit with a lot of stuff in the trunk. The picture in my sig was taking with an amp, two subs, spare tire, etc. I now have all that stuff out and the drop looks a lot more even.
I got some discount Tein S-Tech's on eBay, and they sagged in the back, which was irritating to fix (see my other thread on that). If I had to do it again, I would pay the extra and get H&R springs.
I been looking at the TRDs myself, but i hear they ride is pretty stiff at lower speeds, you only notice the difference at higher speeds and cornering. At the same time i dont like how the camry's ass sticks up in the air so much but its the front that i am worried about. I work in boston so let me just say driving the camry se around the city is not fun, its wide and the front bumper is pretty low, im afraid if i lower it i may increase my chances of scraping it hit a pot hole?
yeah i'm worried about the same problem. I have an le v6, and i've scraped the bottom front just going up minor gradient driveways. I really want to install the lowering springs for better handling, but the cost of decreased ride clearance is too great.

How are you scraping?? I can ride with the big boys sitting in the back and go over speed bumps and rides just fine.

The ride is pretty stiff, and you feel a lot more small bumps (especially with low profile tires). I do like it however when cornering.
I do scrape bottom quite often actually, not on speed bumps, but when I enter steep driveways or roads, where I have to go up very slowly and enter in at an angle, but even that doesnt work sometimes.
i almost ripped my exhaust out of the bottem saturday...forgot i was lowered and i was going into a parking lot (grass) and there was a small hill thing and i went over it and i hit a rock....made the loudest scrapping sound...everyone walking by looked ....and all i could say was "ooooh fuck..." but i got out and there's no damage, just a small scrape.

I've had times like that as well, a few instances come to mind when there is something in the road, a bunch of vehicles in front of my went off the road to go around, and I dont notice the huge pot holes until it's too late, since all the vehicles in front of me were SUV's.
I've looked under my car and it always seems to hit the bottom of the mufflers.
