5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
So I've been researching the spring threads. I have made my decision. I went with some (I think) 1.5 Eibach drop springs. The ride is shweet. Real responsive! And there is a significant difference in the height of the car.
The only negative thing is the I am sitting on some 215/35ZR/18s wrapped on some MRRs. I have to go 225/45ZR/18s.
Sun went down early today so pics came out crappy.
I will take pics tomorrow morning and have them posted in the afternoon.
I went with 225/45/18 when I added the TRD springs and the ride is great and less of a gap.
+1 on 225/45/18.
I currently have 235/45/18 the sidewall is a little too thick that make my rims appear smaller. Akira, if you said 225/45/18 still give quality ride then I will go with 225 next time.

i too am in hawaii, i have been brainstorming on the "springs" idea myself. let's see it man, hook it up with a pic later.
I've got 225/40/18. If I drop my car with my 18" BBS wheels too, am I gonna run the risk of rubbing? Cuz sometimes it looks likes its close as it is now. Don't forget that I also have a body kit that I'm intending to install soon.

No, i'm running the same size and haven't rubbed, ever, in fact i don't think i can.

It depends on how wide your wheels is.
It also depends on the offset of the wheels. If your offset is between +42 to +45 you should be ok. If it +38 or less, you might have rubbing issue.
