other question: ive been noticing a power steering moan when i turn my wheel when im stationary. checked the PS fluid and looked ok. any other reasons for this?

I don't understand how that can happen... if it goes up, shouldn't the window push up the rubber trim?

It probably happened when the windows were tinted. When squeezing the bubbles out the trim may have been pushed down and sat that way for some time. Now it has a tendency to do the same thing. A dirty window or tint that has a higher amount of friction could also be causing the trim to grab and flop over.

You could try removing the door panel and heating the trim/seal up and push it farther away or replace it. I don't think that you can get that piece seperately though.

If the power steering pump is moaning and the fluid is good, the pump is probably faulty.

I'm not a Lucas fan but their power steering conditioner seems to work very well. You could try that.

Quit crying. I gave you two options that very well may help you. One is free, and the other costs about $7.00.

If it works, I wouldn't say that you're fucked.

If they don't work, then you ARE fucked.

I had the same problem with mine after my window was tinted. And I also solved it very easily. WD-40 is perfectly safe to use if you have tinted windows. Use the little straw, pull back the trim and squirt some down there. Make sure the rubber is out the way it should be. Roll down the window, then roll it back up. TRD is right that its friction. So basically you're just lubing the rubber. lol sounds so dirty. Try that, its what I did and I haven't had a problem since.

Actually, Mobil 1 oil is really slippery. Wipe Mobil 1 oil on the window. That will fix it!

Ah you people don't listen...I've already posted THE solution to this window seal thing.

My INNER window seals go inside-out from time to time (especially the passenger side) due to my tint.

The solution is to roll down the window completely. Stick a PLASTIC taping knife in there, and slowly move it across until the entire length of the inside-out window seal comes back up.

Roll up your window, and you're done.

When moving the taping knife, give it angle AWAY from the glass so as not to scratch your tint.

Works for me every time, damage free.

You don't smear WD-40 all over your window. Just enough to keep the seal from catching on the window. And just wipe off the excess. Completely harmless.

You did communicate the situation properly.

He likes to chime in with useless crap for information. Check out the tire repair thread. He KNOWS that plugging a tire is acceptable even though EVERY tire manufacturer disagrees.

My Grandpa had a scraper in the barn that my brother and I would scrape cow crap into the gutter with. One of those would work great to pull that trim/seal back up too. That's THE solution to your problem! If it didn't work well you could use it to smash the window out and the problem would be fixed FOREVER!
