Grain Dash ......Im thinking about getting a wood grain dash kit and was thinking about getting Platinum burl wood just like this, but of course in a 05 camry interior:
This is what im working with:
Stop me if you think it will look cheesy, or if I should stay with the stock look, which I dont mind, looks great in my opinion, or maybe a different color wood? I just want the interior to look a bit more classy, yet sporty....unfortunately I dont have leather seats, so i dont know if the wood grain will look too aftermarket without the luxury look of leather seating to compliment it...Maybe Brushed Aluminum is another option?
By the way, show off your wood grain kits if you have some!!!! and maybe some good links to sites that sell good quality kits....I dont know if I can trust the ebay ones....unless you guys advise otherwise.....thanks!

what color is your exterior. based on your interior, im going to assume blue or black.. not a light color.. either way, i dont think the wood grain will go with your color interior. brushed aluminum is the way to go.. and it will look stock like on our SE's :P
speaking of which ive been trying to locate the stereo surround and front two airvents in a molded brushed aluminum trim to match the factory se aluminum trim. anyone know of a good place?

that might be too much brushed aluminum, no? the SE's dont have brushed aluminum around the stereo and airvents:
i like the simple look of the a;uminum trim in the SE....its just on the window switches and climate control surrond
if youre going for wood, id get the darker wood like the 08 XLE has...it looks great with the light stone interior

My camry is white, I was thinking about brushed aluminum as well, I have some spots on the center console I want to cover up cause they has minor scratches and it bugs the hell out of me. Anyone have pics of brushed aluminum installed on their vehicle? I didnt think wood grain would really go with my interior either, its just too plain....I think the wood grain would look out of place
yeah carbon fiber is out of the question, brushed aluminum may be the winner here....i wish i could see pics of what it looks like installed before i purchase it....My interior, color-wise, kinda resembles the picture above it in the first post of this thread, same cloth like seats and dash board color think Platinum burl wood will be too much then huh?

ive looked into the dash kits and i can tell you if you dont wanna look like a cheese ball you gotta get the MOLDED dash kits. they are more expensive but worth it. oh and let me know where you get the kit. maybe you can sell me the two air vents...

Back on stock height and love it!
/\ imo thats WAY too much going on. i generally agree with trd on this one. however, it pisses me off that there isnt a classy way to do this. i mean how hard is it to sell molded individual pieces? vs a entire wood drenching kit that makes it look like your in a plastic yacht. i think offering wood/aluminum REPLACEMENT pieces is an excellent idea and would have a market.
see how on lammys airvent its an obvious stick on afterthought (no offense lammy). theres a huge gap of normal dash under the vent on the side. and in the center vents it just covers the surface and is not 3d at all.
BUT i really do like how lammys kit has the door trim like that. id like to have some aluminum trim on my doors. that would really look nice on my interior. if i could get the two air vents and door trim in aluminum id be happy..
