5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I'm not an expert in retrofit but I know that there is a different because of the beam pattern cut-off line is designed for left-side driver. You should be able to use any kind of light (like a flash light) to see the beam pattern.
I'm sure all the HID retrofit experts will chime in.

No, there is no difference between the driver's and passenger side projectors themselves. They are basically interchangeable. As lammydi said, there is a difference between left-sided driver cars and right-sided driver cars. The cutoff pattern is different to not blind on coming traffic since they drive on the opposite side of the road.

Yeah, as mentionted, the projectors are the same, you'll only see a difference when you start aiming them, making the driver's side one slightly lower then the passenger side to match up cutoff lines.
You can sometimes find projectors off ebay or just from a junkyard. Otherwise, what I did was use the classifieds, HIDPlanet is a good place to start.

The RX330 non-AFS projectors like the ones pictured do have a left and right, just look for the L and R stamped on the shield. (See picture below) There is a number then a L indicating Left. The other shield has a number and a R. Notice the cut-out for the light has a flat edge on one side. The opposite shield has the flat edge on the opposite side. Also the "squirrel finder" holes are reversed on the opposite shield as well.

Nope, they can come painted gray or bare metal silver. The picture is just dark and it appears black. Just the lighting.
