Gen6 SE V6 Tires - too narrow??

We just bought an '08 SE V6. The OEM Michelin tires look too narrow for the stock rims. Anyone on here try putting wider tires on the stock aluminum rims?? If so, do they rub? I think these are 215's on 17" rims. Could it be just the Michelin tire?

You can go as big as 245 and it still won't rub because your stock rims are not wide enough and your offset are Toyota spec so you won't rub.
I would go with 235 though.

Thanks! 235. What aspect ratio? 45, 50?

This would be a perfect fit if you are staying with 17's.

Thanks for the info! I do want to keep the same rolling diameter with the stock 17" wheels.
