Tanabe IS Medalion Touring from IS350?

I wonder if you can fit the Tanabe Medalion from an IS350 onto a Gen6 Camry V6. Both have the same 2GR-FE engine, but I'm not sure how it would weld up. Any ideas? I'm looking for one of the quietest exhaust possible, other then stock of course.

Epsilon had the HKS Hi-Power for the IS350 modified to fit his V6.

I believe he had the cat-back piping redone to go around the spare-wheel well, and got a custom axle-back pipe to complete the system.

Basically, it's possible with a few modifications.

my guess would be that it would fit like epsilon's hks exhaust that was for the is350. probably the mufflers are the only parts that are usable as i recall the y pipe he wanted to use wouldn't fit into the chasis area designed for a y pipe

it can be done, but it will require modifications
contact epsilon, as he modified an IS350 HKS exhuast for his camry

and just because the IS has the 2gr doesnt mean any parts will bolt up. IS350 = RWD, camry = FWD

I asked epsilon this question already and he replied with this

"The Y-pipe was modified so I can have a full catback exhaust system. Using the IS250/350 HKS Y-pipe, some pipings were needed to make it fit"

I like the sound of his hyper powers but i want to see under his car first and wait a bit for the aftermarket

Gen6

why buy a whole exhaust. HKS sell a universal muffler only of their hyper exhaust line that epsilon have. just get the HKS muffler and find a reputable shop to custom make it for you. probably a lot cheaper too. just a thought.

If you get custom piping, which is probably your only choice, it would be a good idea to ensure that the pipes are MANDREL BENT to ensure maximum performance. If the shop does normal "crush" bent piping then you risk possibly losing power compared to stock.

they're methods of bending metal... mandrel keeps the diameter constant while crush does just that, crushed the metal into shape and restricts flow

Yeah, what he said. Also all performance exhaust systems are Mandrel Bent (Greddy, HKS, Blitz, Tanabe, TRD...etc)

Hm, seems like a fairly possible mod to do.

Any other exhaust system you guys would recommend? I know not many have been tried on the '07 V6 other then the Borla and HKS ones.

Do they make headers or anything for it yet? I've heard there were also forged pistons available for the IS350, but I'm not sure would that apply to the same 2GR in the Camrys.
