so i found this site searching for a way to turn off the chime when the seatbelt isn't plugged and got it done without a problem. then i came across an item on ebay- -the "performance chip" that claims to boost your car by 25 hp and thought to myself "hell yeah! 25 hp for under ten bucks!" well, good thing i searched this forum and was saved from wasting ten bucks. while reading about the "performance chip" someone was talking about how stupid it was and that is as fake as the tornado fuel saver. needless to say, within minutes of reading up on that crap, i went straight to my garage and took out the 25 dollar "vortex fuel saver" piece of crap that i thought was saving me so much gas. next time i wanna add horsepower and save gas mileage, i will definately do what lexxther did and stick some TRD Sportivo decals on the side of my car . thanks again TN.. ..and the mebers too
yea, my horsepower went up with the TRD stickers, but my mileage went down. I must not have installed the stickers properly, they are adding to much friction and drag.

Yo, the TRD Sportivo stickers added better suspension to my car. You should try them too. I don't know about horsepower though. My TRD Grille Emblem added about 5 horses. Welcome to TN!
I just used the search feature ya know to see if it was broken..but nope it works! i just found like 10 threads on the seat belt chime topic and how turn it off...amazing...
If you touch the brake pedal, it will screw you up, so feet off the brake from the second you get in the car. I also had all doors closed, not sure if that matters.
- put in your key and turn the car on, do not start the engine
- Set the LCD on the combination meter to the ODO trip.
- turn car back off for a minute
- turn it back on
- Press and hold the TRIP meter reset knob for ten seconds or more within six seconds of turning the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Fasten the driver's seat belt while holding the knob (this is the tricky part)
- as soon as you fasen the belt, the LCD should change
You may have to hit the reset meter knob to cycle through b-ON to b-OFF (b-off, obviously turns the belt warning off)
- once you set it to b-off, just sit there and wait and the lcd will return to normal, turn the car off you are done.
If you miss any of the little things, it will not work.
--i heard it might work on the 07's but worked on all gen 5's
