Gen6 Just ordered SE grille

I bought myself a Kenwood KVT-719DVD last night and felt kinda bad that my wife hasnt gotten the SE grille shes wanted....so I said F'it and I ordered it for her. Its our anniversary tomorrow so I figured that would be her gift. Shes been asking about the grille and if any of you guys had done a DIY swap write up so Im hoping she'll like it. I'll post pics as soon as it comes in and after the install.

Plenty of info on Gen 6 grille swaps and write ups. Use the search engine.

Not much on grill swaps, unless you are on a cooking forum..........

njerald, Rather than insulting new members and using less than polite responses, You could use that same amount of time and actually be helpful and provide the info.

To eddiefromcali, Here is njeralds write up on the grille swap.

Hybrid Grille Installation Procedure

Step 1: Remove 1 screw and 1 push pin at each end of the hood weatherstripping. Figure 1

Step 2: Remove the bolt in the center of the weatherstripping.

Step 3: Lift and pull forward the front fascia to get more room to access the back of the grille. Figure 2

Step 4: Remove the fascia screw on each end of the grille from the inside. Requires a short phillips screwdriver.

Step 5: There are 16 tabs that hold the factory grille in place. 6 on top, 2 below the Toyota emblem, 1 on each end, 6 across the bottom. I worked from the top and under the Toyota emblem first using 1 thin, flat short screwdriver. You have to be pulling the grille out as you work each tab. Then the side and bottom tabs. Remove Grille.

Step 5: Install new grille in the reverse order of the above removal steps.

Good DIY grille swap info for that "Lexus" or what ever that is but does any one have the DIY for the 07/08 Camry?

Grats on the new toys. I think the SE grille is my next change. Mind if I ask where you purchased it?
