Gen6 Tire Size

Hey...

You all have been very helpful with my 2007 Camry...

I was offered a set of 18x8 wheels with 235/40/18 tires on them, will that fit a 2007 camry (no lowering springs)...

I searched but didn't find this exact setup...

Thanks

What is the offset? But base on the 8" width and the tires are only 235/40/18 it will fit but the overall diameter is a little too small. If it was 225/45/18 or 235/45/18 it will fit better.

Unhappy

45 offset ...

I did some calculations and it seems like they might look stupid (a little too small):

Stock tire diameter is 26.15748031496063
New tire diameter is 25.401574803149607

Stock tire profile is 5.078740157480315
New tire profile is 3.7007874015748037

Stock tire to fender clearance is 2.5
New tire to fender clearance is 3.2559055118110223

Good deal too, ohh well ... thanks for the quick reply!

With +45 offset, it is the exact same width and offset as my Lexus GS rims.
Too bad the tires are not 225/45/18 or 235/45/18 it would look just like my setup.

I think the ISP modes are my favorite but GS/IS rims are a close second!

I'm thinking of picking up the NEXO PX-5 from wheelmax.com for $520. It's 18x7.5 with an offset of either 35 or 45. Which offset should I go with? With the 45 offset, they're recommending a 235/40 set up. I'm really anxious to pick these up alrady, so any help ASAP would be appreciated. Thanks.

With the width only 7.5 if you go with +45 offset, it will look just like stock wheels, tucked inside the wheel gaps.
I would go with +35 so it will push your wheels toward the wheel fender more. (10mm more)
Here is a comparision between 7.5 and 8.0 width same +45 offset.

This rim width is 7.5

-----------------------
This GS rim width is 8.0

Call wheelmax and tell them what you and they will take of you. I called and and said I wanted 225/45/18 and 5 days later they were sitting at my door.

I'm using 235/40/18 on 18x7.5 wheels and they fit perfectly, but I don't remember the offset.

Thanks guys, I think I'll go with the +35 offset with 224/45/18 Nexxen tires. And dammit Akira why did you have to get them first!

BTW Akira, what is your offset?

If you can make your car looks just like Akira then you'll get my vote.
Akira's car has always been on my top five list.

Seeing that Akira has the wheels I want, I decided to go with these,

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...%2F5&tc=MBMBOO

18x7.5 with 48 offset. They'll be coming with Kumho SPTs 225/45/18s. All these for under $1000!

Oh and OP, sorry if I went

I talked to a guy over at camryforums.com getting those same wheels. I like them.
