Gen6 2007 Speaker install questions

I got a set of Arc 6000 components and put them in the door with the woofer and tweeter next to each other. I then tried to disconnect the stock tweeter that's in the dash, but upon doing so, I found that it would cut signal to the doors.

Anyone who's replaced the stock speakers, did you just cut the wires and crimp them?

This is the wiring harness that connects to the left side tweeter.

Here's what the stock dash speaker looks like for anyone who's curious

Install jumper(s) Purple to Purple & Pink to Pink.... they are bridged in the mating connector in the speaker....

You could also just cut one leg of the cap or the red or black wire to "open" the tweeter circuit, then reconnect the plug. The tweeter will be dead, but could be reconnected later, if needed. [Cover and secure the loose ends, to prevent an intermittent audio output problem, or rattles.]

If you have multimeter, you can measure the 2 pins on the left in the last pix to see if they are shorted (0 ohm) then do the same to the right. If they do, you can remove the the harness from the tweeter and put jumpers between left 2 pins. Do the same for the right pair.
That' what I guess the tweeter is in parallel to door speaker.
