Wheel Pics? 15" 16" 17"

Does anyone have pics of 15's, 16's and 17's on an 05 Camry? I ordered a set of MB Seven X wheels and Falken 912's off Discounttire and was considering the 17's. I have to call on Monday to see if the 17's are available. But I'm looking for opinions on the different sizes as far as looks and handling. I've seen some 17's on the forums, but obviously no one's been showing their 15's. LOL. So how do 15's look? Do 17's stand out that much compared to 15's?

Here's the wheel I ordered 15".

As far as looks, 17" hands down. If the reason you're buying the rims is to upgrade the look of your car, 15" and to a lesser extent 16" would be a waste of money. As far as tires i would go with 225-50-17.

I guess I'm just looking for something better than steels. Are 15's that bad?

If you're only looking for an upgrade from steelies then i guess they're not THAT BAD i guess.... I maybe overstated a little by saying they were a waste of money. It depends on your taste I suppose. If you like the aesthetics of smaller wheels go for them. But if it were me I wouldn't spend hundreds of dollars on a new set of wheels unless they did something significant for the the car.

I went through the same decision you are making a while back and I couldn't decide between 16" or 17" and had to learn about the pros and cons of bigger wheels. I went with 17" and I'm glad i did. Now even considering 18".

17" will make your car look much better and handle much better. I don't find harshness or roadnoise to be a noticeable issue at all, but tires for 17" are a little more expensive and more prone to blowing out. Best setup would be to run your 15" steelies in the winter and your 17" with performance tires the rest of the year.

15" will keep your wheels oem size. They won't do wonders for the look of your car, but at least you won't have hubcaps and you'll save money on tires as well as the cost of the rims.

I had a hard time figuring it out through pictures. When I saw a wheel setup that I liked on a parked car, I would sneak over and read the tire size to see what size rim it was .... not suggesting you do this but for a car the size of a camry you'll probably come to the same conclusion i did. In the end make your decision based on what you think, not what anyone says.

hope this helps

Mine is gen 5.5, I think. 05 Camry.

I think I'm going with the 17's, but will have to see if they have it available.

Yep, '05-'06 is Gen 5.5. '02-'04 is Gen 5.

17's will look much better than the smaller sizes that you mentioned.

17 hands down .. i would just stick w/ stock before i spend hundreds of dollars on the stock size rims.. unless you like small rims, (which not many ppl spend hundreds for new rims taht are the same size)

you'll be glad u went w/ the 17's in the long run. if u dont have the money save up.. better to get something ur happy w/, rather then get something that just "satisfies" you.

but it the long run, just think about if you'll still be happy with it in the long run.. all we can do is give you our own opinions when it comes to stuff like this.
