Rolling Fenders. How does it work?

I am not sure if i have to roll my fenders or not. The rims i want have two offsets that are available. The rim is 19 x 8.5 with a choice of 25+, 40+. I was thinking about getting the 40, but from what i've been told, it will not be flushed.

My question is:
If i went with the 25+ offset, will i have to roll my fender?

What year is your Camry? I think the 07+ has more clearance?

+25 is way too little. Also, there isn't much fender to roll on the new 07's. If anything you might get 1cm.

I believe my current setup is 20x8.5 and the offset is about +42. It sits pretty flush so +40 would be perfect.

If anything, you could always add some spacers if the +40 isn't flush enough for your taste.

They are, but it's still an option. However if i'm not mistaken, +25 offset will rub even with a fender roll.

hey how much do you think you can drop with your 20's? Do you think you will rub with the trd's?

TRD is the max I can go.

A while ago lammydi did me a favor and test drove his 20's after dropping his car with TRD. He said he felt some tire rub, but there are a few difference between his setup and mines.

His 20's had an offset of +40, compared to my +42 that gives me 2mm to play with. In addition, he was running a tire 1 size to large profile wise (I too am currently running 1 size to large). So new springs will also mean going smaller in overall diameter (Which isn't so bad because it will be closer to stock diameter).

Edit:
This is what fender rolling is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_irPKDRxufc

Basically, he's rolling that bit of sheet metal that sticks towards the tire in order to get more space between the fender and tire.

do you just set it at one length then just roll it throughout the whole fender to make it even, or do you have to eyeball it?

I think they work it gradually.

Correction, my old 20" setup is 20x8.5 +38 offset with 245-35-20. It rubs when you go over the freeway humps and/or bumps.
You might getaway with a +40 offset and a smaller tires 225-35-20.
If you wan to see how flush the 20x8.5 +38 offset looks just click on my car site in my signature.
