the only proper way to put HID's on your 05 is to do a retrofit. please do a search, there are a bazillion threads about HID and retrofitting.

if you are really adamant at getting HID's, i would definitely recommend to search for "HID retrofit", "white3ch0c0late retrofit", "LE05 retrofit" and "poohbear retrofit" here in the gen 5 and 6 forums. white3ch0c0late, LE05 and poohbear have all done very successful retrofits on their gen 5/5.5's

You can, but most people won't recommend it. The reason being that your lights werent designed for HID's, so putting them in you will give off a lot of glare, not to mention gain attention of cops.
