other than the reason of flooding the engine, I didn't understand any other benefit that VSV hoses have over brake booster lines.
please if I missed it, list it.
The VSV hose actually goes down to the base of the throttle body. The throttle body is at the very beginning of the intake plenum. By adding the SeaFoam there, the entire intake manifold and all of the runners are exposed to the SeaFoam cleaner as it's sucked into each cylinder. That's the only spot that has high vacuum and allows complete coverage.
Yes just make sure its a tube that feeds all 4 cylinders. I just did my taco again last night and I used a diff. line and it DEFINITELY got all 4. I blew a cloud of carbon smoke all over my dads camry. lol.

ok so i just seafoamed and i didnt get the results i was expecting. mind you, i have seafoamed my car before, once in this 05 and once in my 93. the first time i did it with the 93 there was smoke for 10 mins. that was expected. when i first did it with my 05, there was a good amount of smoke. that was maybe 12k ago. on to today.. i put in between 1/3 and 1/2 of the can. the engine sounded like it wanted to die, so that was expected. once i finished sucking up all the seafoam, there was no smoke. as i pulled out of my driveway, i had one huge cloud of smoke but that was it! i drove down a few streets, maybe 5 mins worth.. and i got nothing else. did i do something wrong? should i have let the seafoam sit? or could it be it is already clean?

If you did it correctly it probably didn't smoke much because it's fairly clean. You only did it 12,000 miles ago, right?
Ok guys well Like I said before it was a sunny day yestuday here in LA and I went out to shop and got me some TB cleaner and some SEAFOAM!.
and now for the videos....Sorry my Camra is Gay I have no sound option....
Great first video on where to find the right vacuum line, however you really should have went for a drive and put the car under some load, instead of just leaving it in P/N.
If you read the back of the can, you're supposed to let it sit with the engine off before driving it. 5-15 minutes is usually how long people wait.
yea i remember doing that with my other car.. i guess it must have slipped my mind because i didnt see anyone say anything about letting it sit in the thread.. i guess it all just collected and was let out in one big puff? i suppose i will use the second half of the can tmrw and let it sit before i drive off..
