I usually lurk here. Since I live in the northeast my dash is starting to rattle now that the temps have drop. It is bottom of A pillar where it meets the dash speaker grill. If i lightly put pressure on the speaker cover it goes away. I know i read here that a couple people had this problem, I don't recall seeing what was the cause and how it was repaired.
I am just curious before i bring it in to the dealer. other then that i love this car
I forgot to mention it is a Magnetic Gray, XLE V6 with smart key and navigation and it has 5500 miles on it.
I am also new here. I purchased an '07 Camry SE this past April. Currently I have over 21k miles. It had 7 on it from my test drive when I bought it. I was searching for an owner's forum specifically because of all the rattles and creaks I am experiencing. My creaks come from where the vent housing meets the A-pillar as well as the center console. That one sounds like a styro-foam cooler lid that won't stay on. Other than that I love the car.

Hey! another marylander... awesome. Where are you located? and that's a lot of miles put on for a lil past 7 months of owning the car... hehehe... welcome to the boards
Not to threadjack, but anyone experiencing rattling inside the steering wheel? Low speeds and bumpy roads... if I gently press on the steering pad, but not hard enough to make it honk, the rattle goes away. Just curious

Stefe,
Read this thread I posted several months ago. Toyota now has a TSB out for the dash rattles:
I have the same problem. Just noticed it as the temps dropped to around freezing. It really rattles a lot. I'm going to wait around and see what I hear about this TSB NV008-07.

I'll let you guys know how it goes. The creaking/rattling was so bad that I couldn't take it anymore. I dropped off my Camry at the dealer tonight, and they said that it will probably be ready late Wednesday afternoon.
The dealer said that this is becoming a common problem.
They are also looking into some rattles in the passenger side b-pillar trim.
take it to the dealer for TSB repairs....theres a series of foam padded clips in the dash that cause the squeaking noises, esp when its cold out
its all warrentied, and you should be set....i fixed an 07 hyubrid with the same issue today....
Yes, I have noticed a NEW one in the rear window panel. I noticed it the other day when we took a good long trip to a OutLet Mall in Birch Run. (We live in Lansing)
I had the JBL system cranking and heard a buzz from the Bass in the rears...
Damn it...It will get fixed. That I promise. No point in having a 440w system if it rattles the insides of the car.

Living in Minnesota we get our fair share of colder weather. Our TCH has a build date of Jan '07 and boy, does it squeak when it's cold out. Seems to get better as the interior of the car warms up.
The wife blamed me for "breaking something" in the car when I used it once. Now I can show her the TSB. We'll have it looked at next scheduled maintenance.
We have about 11k miles on our TCH. Except for the rattles/squeaks, we love the car.

I have an 07 Camry SE-V6 and my dash squealed like a pig when I got it. I brought it to my local dealer and they installed the "Noise Kit" which is a known service bulletin for 07 Camry's. It solved the majority of the problem, but it still acts up in colder weather. In the summer it's quiet as a mouse. Most recently my centre console started to squeak when I'd put my arm on the armrest - the tech looked at it when I brought it in for an oil change a few weeks back and made some adjustments - but it's not perfect.
As much as I love the car, this would be one of my beefs - but all in all, it is a Camry not a Lexus, so the fit and finish I guess is OK.
yes my 07 dash rattles like nuts when cold, dropped off at dealer hope they fix it,you can tell camarys are made in the USA now, the quility went to hell.probaly all those detroit UAW pukes got jobs at the kentuky camary plant.
Well, I just traded a Japan-built 07 XLE for a US-built 08 SE. Only about 700 miles on the car so far, but the interior is quieter than the old XLE. The XLE wasn't bad, but it had a few little ticks and such going on. And I shoved quite a few chunks of padding between the windshield and the dash over the course of a couple of years, as it had the dash rattle up there, too.
So far, the dash has been supremely quiet with the new SE -- presumably it's got the extra padding described in the TSB, and hopefully it'll stay that way.
All in all, I've ratted against US-built cars, but so far, the new SE just oozes quality compared to the Japanese XLE -- the doors seem to close with a more solid "thunk," and so on.
Trust me, though -- I'll weigh in if and when anything comes up worth mentioning!
