Canada "Passenger Airbag Off" Light always on

Hi, I just did TSB036-07 on my 07 I4 for the sluggish problem. It turns out very good. Now I got another problem right after that fix, the "Passenger Airbag Off" light is always on even with an adult (over 150 lb) sitting there. I suspect they touched some wires during the TSB service. I will certainly take it back to the dealer and report it back to you. Searching the forum, I saw one reported that the ECU has to be replaced to fix it. Any other hints? Thanks.

The dealer did not touch some wires when performing the TSB.

I will not offer hints to an inexperienced technician/person when it comes to dealing with the airbag system.

Bring it to the dealer.

It's possible that the battery didn't hold a complete charge during the reflashing (reprogramming). That can cause damage. Don't mess with anything, that's what the warranty is for.

I doubt wires were crossed. There is a recalibration function in the factory scan tool they can do for you.

I think it is TSB036-07 but in Canada it is called TSB2650/EM6015. After the reprogramming, the engine is felt very strong. You can still have a little bit of hesitation but good enough if not picky.

In terms of the airbig off light, it is back to normal after 2~3 days before I see the dealer. I am not sure it needs time to initialize after the programming or what.
