Canada remote starter defroster

I am trying to decide whether or not to get a remote starter...

Is there a remote starter that will activate the defroster ? Because if you turn off the car with the defroster on , and then start the car again, the defroster will not be on.

Anyone have any experience with canadian winters, how long to you need to run the car before it is warm inside when it is -10 C ?

i don't know about the car starter, but for warming your car...it'll take 5-10mins to warm up.

If you are talking about the rear window defroster, no, it won't turn on. The front defroster will turn on as long as you set the controls before you get out of the car.

5-10 minutes sounds about right, leaving it any for long periods of time at idle is supposed to be bad for the car.

certain models of aftermarket remote starters have the ability to turn on the rear defroster. its just a matter of connecting the correct wires...

my remote starter (Viper 160XV) has this function, but i was not sure how to connect it, so i left it alone.
