5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Our 2007 Camry LE 4-cyl. has just over 20K miles on it and I just noticed that the driver's side low-beam/DRL headlight is burned out. I know it's no big deal (and not very expensive) to buy a bulb and install it myself - but I'm taking the car in to the dealership for its 20K-mile service next week, so if the standard warranty covers it, I'll just wait and let them replace it. I looked in the warranty booklet and it's not listed as being "Not Covered" like wiper blades, etc., but I figure they might consider it "normal wear and tear".
DRL is the High beam bulb, They may cover it, They may not. Depends on your relationship with the dealer.

that one is up to the dealer....
i know for the most part lightbulbs are regular maintenence and mostt dealers wont cover those...i dunno in your case cause that seems like a short lifespan for a lightbulb
i wouldent know cause i work at a dealer and i get all my bulbs for free....
Correct me if i'm wrong. But aren't bulbs super easy to replace?
(maybe i'm used to my shadow)
Yes, they certainly are - and I've changed plenty of them, but - as I said in my original post - I'm going to the dealership next week anyway for my 20k-mile service, so if they'll do it for free, I'll let 'em. Otherwise, I'll buy a bulb and do it myself. No big deal.

Those bulbs arn't free, they are paid for by everyone who pays for service done at your dealership. Does your employer know of your "free" bulbs?
I think this weekend i'm gunna try and get rid of the yellow on my right headlight. if successful, i'm going to get those facy blue light bulbs.
after that, fix the fog lights.

pretty sure they'll just charge you for the bulbs. i had a tail light bulb out when i went to get my 20k service, they changed it out and just charged me for the price of the bulb.
why don't you just change it out yourself? worrying about the warranty over a little bulb is kinda overkill.

^ ahh, wtf? I don't think bulbs are under warranty since it's not made directly by Toyota, it's just a aftermarket bulb by Sylvania. It doesn't cost much and it ain't that hard to change it. Better excuse to get some better bulbs.
