Gen6 My little brother just got a 08 camry!!

Hey there everybody...my brother just got an 08 camry ce! That's the first good news! The second good news is the price that he got it for!!!! Sticker price on the camry at any dealer that we looked at around Atlanta was $20,500...then adding tax, tag and dealer fees the total came to around $23,900! Then we heard about Team Toyota Dealership in Lithia Springs on
I-20 around 20 mins drive from Downtown Atl. They had a $3000 rebate on any camry plus we had a trade-in. After all the rebates were applied and the price of the trade-in(he had a 99 camry and he got 2100 for it at the dealer...we weren't expecting even 500)...sticker price dropped to $15,900...we drove it out of the dealer for $17,250!!! Everybody who is in the market for a new Toyota...I would highly reccomend Team Toyota. This deal is still going on over at Team. So ppl get over at Team and see John King(hey...gotta mention him...after all he got us the deal). Here are some pics:

congrats..but why does the thread have a "Gen 5" badge..instead of Gen 6?

We all know Gen 5, 5.5 are better than the Gen 6..but c'mon

Gen5

I have a 05 camry le(black)...I was just letting everybody know the new camry arrival at our home...everybody loves the curve's on the new camry...our neighbours were also surprised to know that it was a camry sittting in our driveway...people didnot expect the camry to look this good!!!
The only down side that I could find is that the interior at night is very dark and mellow..my brother was telling me that long drive's on the new camry will be difficult coz u might actually fall asleep!!! I was hearing lot of people say about the transmission flares and other things about the gen6....has it being addressed in the new 08's? My brother was telling me that the gear change was barely noticeable and very smooth...

That's only an issue with the V6's, no final solution yet, some people have found it on the 08's.

Congrats! It seems like you guys walked out with a great deal.

How do all of you people get all these "below-sticker" prices?!

Any time my family buys any domestic car, the absolute max we can ever "bargain" is like $1000.

Heck, we end up achieving much greater deals with the German dealers (i.e. BMW, Benz). When we got our ML 2 years back, we negotiated both a free CD Changer (value of $500 cuz it's linked by fibreoptics) and $2000 off. Plus the dealer gave us Benz keychains and floormats!

How do you people manage to bargain so well with the local dealers?
