Ok this is the car
Blue Ribbon SE with spoiler door trim 18" TRD Wheels JBL Sound System and we don't need no stinking Nav System. the hands free phone is a nice thing since the New Mexico citys have started ticketing people for phone use. But the phone has a ring like my grandmaws black rotary dial dinosaur. Now I ask you should a modern vehicle have this retro ring coming from a BlueTooth Tech System I can not understand this. Someone please tell me you know how to make it have a tone and not that RING RING.

welcome to the boards... that is an interesting question that has never come up in the forums... don't know if it's possible to program a new ringtone... but the phone itself does ring as well, so you still get a modern ringtone

Well I have a Samsung from Qwest and I use the Flash Back tune as my ringer. I like the tune it stands out and I can hear it very well. The modem dial tone I am not quite sure what you mean but i have not heard any modem tone. Someone must have a hack for this I would think you could upload from your phone but I am not sure how to do it. But i know that RING bell is like a sharp stick in the eye. I have not tried to use another tone on the phone i will try it this evening and see if it does anything. I will post if it works. If you hear of a fix please let me know.

Good luck...I notice that a while back ago 4-5 months ago and tried changing the ring tone but was unsuccessful. I've went through the phone setup option but I was not able to find an option to change the ring tone.

Let me know cause I also would like to find out
