Cloth. Leather seats are usually harder and mess with my back. The heat out here dries them up really quick too which means I have to re-apply protectant at least weekly when I have a car with leather.

I think leather is more durable, but cloth is more comfortable. I'd go with leather in a Camry, though.

If cloth is more comfortable, then I can't imagine the horror that ppl with leather seats have to endure. My 07 LE cloth seats are the absolute most uncomfortable car seats i've ever driven in.

I'm saving for some katzkin. I noticed today-- if any heavy object is in the back row bench, it tends to leave wrinkles =\

As someone said before, there's pro's and con's to both. Cloth wears well and doesn't need much maintenance - leather can crack over time if not taken care of properly.

I felt the Fraichir fabric in the XLE I4 and that stuff is amazingly soft. Leather in the Camry seems to be pretty good for the price of the car (try comparing the leather in any BMW or Mercedes to a Camry, and their leather seems rock hard and feels like sandpaper - its ridiculous for that price range). But remember the leather in the Camry is only on the seat surfaces, the sides of the seats and the door panels are "pleather" that just look like leather but they're really vinyl or plastic.

For quality leather, look at the optional semi-analine leather in the Lexus cars available on the ES350 and LS460 UL packages - they are glove soft.

That's the cool thing about leather - it'll stretch but when you come back later after a long while, the wrinkles are gone.
