Thumbs down

This is an old comparo that I saw online weeks ago. I'm surprised no one posted it here before. I took this comparo with a grain of salt because it was already an UNFAIR comparision from jump because they used the top of the line Accord EX-L against the Camry SE which is NOT the top of the line model. Had they used the XLE things would have been a bit more balanced, especially when he had the audacity to comment about ride quality when he picked the Camry SE which duh has a stiff suspension. Plus, the Camry debuted in March 2006. It's almost TWO YEARS later and the Accord is just now coming out. Not a very fair comparison. The Accord has two years on the new Camry so its no very balanced. For all the bashing of the new Accord i've seen BY HONDA owners, the new Accord can't be all that great.

the camry is much better looking in all respects, and in general a nicer car

Honda O'cheapness thou art

Hi guys,

Former 2002 Honda Accord EXV6 owner, Current 2007 Camry LEV6 owner.

All I have to say to the V-TEC Ricers.....
Bought the Honda brand new, and..... the tranny leaked like a babies arse at 16,000 miles......

Tranny fluid all over my garage, that is still there and the tranny stalled at 10,000 miles.....

All I have to say to those new Accord owners.....

SOHC V6 VTEC Honda vs. my DOHC V6 VVTI Toyota perfection......

Nippon Denso: A Toyota company that is used by Honda and Nissan, that is why they last as long as a Toyota, minus their tranny's and other stuff......

Automatic transmission designs that are independent of the manual designs which is a Toyota trademark, but Honda being a cheap company uses the same design layout for both the manual and automatics, therefore early failure otherwise known as slippage, ask any master mechanic and that is what they'll tell you.....

Honda/Acura = Cheap High School crap

Toyota/Lexus = Perfection

The End

agreed. my dad has an 05 TL and the interior looks much worse than the interior of my 03 camry which has held up perfectly

the tranny issues have plagued honda since the 98 model year V6 models. honda refuses to build a good V6 or larger engine
all the honda boys are scared of a V8

FYI, it's the "in" thing to do now for automotive journals/reviews to not give any Toyota vehicle a win, regardless of whether it's justified or not.

This is a Toyota Enthusiast Forum after all, mind you

Surely, the new Accord is a good car no doubt, but it looks like ass IMO
