Gen6 Feelin pretty dumb about my leather...

Hey eveyone,

I'm pretty new here. Got a 07 Camry SE, I4 (I know I know.. but I was going for gas saving). Owned it for about 10 months and I really love it. Had an 04 Accord before, and think pretty highly of my Camry compared.

Anyways, I had leather installed at the factory prior to purchase and I've was searching around the forums and found someone talking about having aftermarket installed for about $900. I paid at least double!

So now that I've pulled out my hair here I thought this would be a great intro for myself and know that you all could come up with some witty remarks on makeing me feel... "better"

oem>aftermarket?

i dunno lol - personally like the cloth seats over the leather, something about burning my ass in the summer that just doesn't sit too well with me. Although the downside to it is i would love to have my ass toasty during the winter!

SE i4 owner here too - gas over power, besides i'm in no rush! =)
welcome!

Not only is OEM better, but it's covered under warranty should anything stupid happen and I'm assuming you got it financed in.

I dunno if I have anything that can make you feel better after that. Go look under your hood and tell me again what kind of engine you have?

The leather kits have the warranty issue as mentioned. Some of them may have extra padding, but don't fit as snugly as yours.

Buyer's regret is like a 1-night stand. You feel pretty good after you get it over with, until you find something wrong with the situation.

Either it is factory leather or a port/dealer installed kit.

The solution to your problem - research before buying!

Richard,

You are a powerful man. Everyone wants to be like you. Nobody has your strong mix of knowledge, pleasant personality, courage, good looks, and common sense.

I hope that makes you feel better.

Your friend,

Todd
