Anybody Have Factory XM w/navi?

Anyone here install XM with a navigation equipped car? I purchased a 2008 Camry Hybrid Saturday and thought it came with XM. Sales lady even said it had XM. The Window sticker it very deceptive. If it doesn't have satellite radio it shouldn't state anything about it on the sticker. Anyway I was wondering if the receiver and antenna they install at the dealer is hidden into the vehicle and integrated into the radio and dash? Also wonder about the antenna position, was reading some posts about poor reception. I don't want a hack job install. Shame on Toyota for not having it in a loaded navi equipped car in the first place! Can anyone here help me with these questions? Thank You!

08 SE with Nav and Sirius OEM

I have the 08 SE with Nav and Sirius. I believe the antenna is mounted behind the rear view mirror in a plastic housing on the inside of the windshield. If you have XM try selecting the AM/Sat button and it should allow you to see the satellite stations. My guess if you have it but not activated, it will show channels 184 and 255 and state DEACTIVATED.

You should have checked your car first top to bottom before signing for it. Toyota's all about giving things away without paying for it. Seems to me you should hit your head against a wall for assuming something like that in the first place, more so for beliving your sales lady word for word LOL.

You should also call Toyota Motor Sales's toll free comsumer complaint number and set those crooks strait.

I have factory NAV and port installed XM. The antenna is on my rear deck, and the receiver is hidden. Mine was port installed because I had it added to an incoming vehicle that wasn't set to get XM from the factory. They added remote start for me as well. The dealer (or aftermarket installer hired by dealer) should be able to do a fine job installing, but it really depends on the individual. Some take their time and do it right, and some don't. I say make them put it in, and you are unsatisfied with the aesthetics based on generally accepted installation practices (MECP) then make them fix it. It's your car, and their mistake.

Had them install it and it is hidden with the antenna on the rear deck. My cars have all been Audis, and everything is built in, when the window sticker said XM it has XM in already. I should have read into it closer but feel I should not have had to. Very deceiving on Toyotas part I feel. Live and learn.

What's deceiving? It says "XM Ready". IIRC there is an asterisk or something that points out that a tuner is needed. Most cars, even Audi has that situation. I know because I almost bought an A4 S-line last year.

My '08 XLE stated "XM Ready" on the sticker. I bought the receiver off ebay for $250 and had Best Buy install it for $50. They did an excellent job and all looks and works as if from the factory and I saved a few hundred bucks. The antenna is up front to the right of the light sensor by the windshield. I don't notice it at all. Very happy with it.
