A leak at the flex pipe won't have a significant affect on performance or fuel mileage.

You can try removing the fuse for the CD player to see if it will reset and work properly. If not you will have to send it out for repair or get a replacement.

Welcome to TN.

any way my question is does an exhaust leak like this hurt performance and gas mileage,,
Like my good buddy trd says, it doesnt hurt any of that. However if you have an exhaust leak this is the last thing to worry about. Exhausts leaks are bad because 1) too much noise 2) might atttract the law for a fix-it 3) exhaust fumes might come inside with the people 4) slight risk of burning intake valves if ignored too long.

An exhaust leak is like a brake fluid leak, it commands instant attention. You can make a quick patch using muffler sealer goop, coffee can cut appropriately and some hose clamps. But if one leak is there, more are sure to follow, to do a double check crawl under with a hammer and bang on the pipes. A clang and not a thunk is what you want to hear, if your exhaust system is rusted through, change the whole darn thing now. Patching is frustrating and usually futile so just change the tubing. If you know your cat and muffler are still good you can clamp on some adaptors, as they are the most expensive parts.

There is no risk of burning an exhaust valve if the flex pipe is leaking.

Do you even read other peoples posts before you criticize them? No special reason, just curious.

You will not burn an Intake valve.

A clogged, or restricted exhaust system can increase combustion temperature and increase the risk of burning, but unlikely an Intake valve.

Sorry. There is no way that an intake valve could get burned. Your statement was so completely stupid that I substituted the word "exhaust" in place of your chosen word of "intake". Neither would occur, but saying an intake valve even had a remote chance of burning is like saying an exhaust leak can cause a nail to puncture a tire.

Completely useless and absolutely incorrect information. Your posts suck.
