'07 Camry SE V6 JBL audio AUX Question

I have a '07 Camry SE V6 and pretty much since I got it in Oct '06 I have been a lurker around here.

The car has the JBL audio system without navagation

I finally got a MP3 player. It is a Sandisk 8gb model. I have the aux cable to use the aux jack in the dash and can listen through the aux, but need to use the mp3 player to change songs, folders, etc.

I notice on eBay and other places that there is a Ipod adapter to plug into the back of the JBL system and allows your radio controls to control the iPod?!? Is this true? Is there such a beast? Is it only for Apple products?

I searched but little is noted about this that I can find.

Besides the aux jack, is there something to allow us to use a mp3 in the vehicle?

Well you could always use an FM transmitter but that certainly won't improve the sound quality, nor user control.

just stick with the aux jack

the adapters are for ipods only
