Spoiler monting question

I'm thinking of getting an OEM style spoiler from Ebay. Has anyone installed one of these type spoilers? I know they require drilling. I am not afraid of drilling but I am a little concerned about long term rusting issues.

A silicone type sealant can easily be applied around the mounting holes to keep out moisture. You can also apply some touchup paint on the exposed metal to prevent corrosion.

Thanks for the info. I was going to use some kind of sealant even if the spoiler didn't come with any. I like the idea of paint as an extra layer of protection.

whats the difference between drilling some holes and using a super strong glue? if you take the spoiler off the car after either installation its going to show..... with either some holes, or a screwed up paint job from the glue.

Sounds like that would stress the paint...

If you really want a good seal, use masking tape. Cheap and gets the job done.
