New here...have question about programming features

I have a 2008 Camry and I'd like to change from the "ON" default settings of the operation signal, door lock buzzer and seat belt reminder buzzer to "OFF". The manual states that it has to be taken to a dealer since it requires "specialized equipment" to accomplish this. My local dealer is not the most pleasant to deal with so I would like to know if anyone has any experience doing this? I could program all features of my 2004 Ram by using the wireless remote while toggling the ignition. Is this programming capability not true of Toyotas? Thanks for any help.

Um... i think i've read that someone said it is not possible to do except by the dealer. they need to hook up the computer to your car and change the setting that way.

The search feature was my first attempt at answering my own question. After repeated attempts, no results were found that addressed this problem on a 2008. I resorted to plan B which was ask the question here on the Forum.

From the information I have found, it does seem that my only option is to take it to the dealer. How lucky am I?
