Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
The Aura is a very nice automobile. Thats an XE right! I almost bought an XR, with the big V6 and the paddle shift trans! Damn that car would scoot.....Past GM ownership experiences stopped me tho! Keep us updated on how it does....Congrats on the new car!

Hooray it's a cheaply built G6. I drove one of those, a GTP in fact, and was not impressed at all. The engine was powerful, but the 6 speed auto was terrible. There's no reason for a 6 speed to hunt for gears like that thing did. The stereo sucked and would've been really expensive (impossible?) to replace because it was tied in with the HVAC. The seats were not nearly as comfortable as GM seats of the past. The steering felt boatish for a GTP branded car.
And then, even with light hail damage, they wanted us to pay full MSRP because it was a GTP! I laughed at the sales guy, made fun of his shiny pants, and left...
02WhiteLE I hope you got what you wanted in the Aura, but I wouldn't even consider one.

To be fair to WhiteLE...he had a bad expeariance with Toyota and walked away....like some of us did with Chevy or Ford or any of the other automakers. He obviously likes the Aura so more power to him!
Good Luck with your new car! Don't feel bad for jumping ship, I did it from an 07 Gen6 to a 05 4Runner, and the 4.0l V6 makes me feel better that I did
Yeah, it's a stock antenna. I agree, they would look better in the back. It's for XM and onstar... I may look into a relocate in the future, but I'm not sure how much would be involved in that.

Yep, it's an XE. I looked at an XR, but they all had leather, which I didn't want. The difference between the big V6 and my V6 were minimal in real world driving. I'll still be around from time to time, I'm sure. I've been here this long.

If you weren't impressed, why would the salesguy offer to reduce teh price for you, though? The 6 speed XR I drove had no trans problems. Also, the Aura is an uplevel version of the G6. So technically, the G6 is a cheaper version of the Aura. And I did get what I wanted in the Aura, thanks... I also would have made fun of shiny pants.
