5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Anyone have any experience with them? They arent really mentioned on this board too much. Ive read reviews on these coilovers for other vehicles, and the customers seem pretty satisfied, considering the price. Just wanted to throw it out there for others to see and discuss, I ran into these while shopping around on Ebay

I'd rather have springs only and have a much more durable setup.
Unless it's a race car, coil overs aren't even close to being needed. Hell, they aren't even needed in most race cars.
I agree with you, but Im very picky about the way my vehicle looks, and I do alot of research before I buy an aftermarket product for my cars cause I want to make sure its visually pleasing to me and the image Im trying to display, and unfortunately the regular drop springs just arent doing it for me, the drop looks horrible with the back "looking" lower than the front.
Coilovers will not only give me the power to control that but it will also provide the struts to support the aftermarket coils and Im kinda willing to spend a bit extra to accomplish the look I envision, I mean its all part of the fun of modding vehicles, even if it is mostly for looks, But at the moment im still looking around.
I just wanted to throw this out there. Too bad our Gens dont have that aftermaket support we all would like....

yeah dont get those nex, those are really bad. The ride is bad and so is the quality. I got my ksport coilovers for looks and adjustability of height. I wanted to drop my camry to one finger all around which my trd spring did not do. I didnt get them hoping to make my camry handle like a high performance car or race car. Yeah my ride is stiffer than my trd springs but its worth IMO.
I thought alot before I got my coilovers. I didnt just go out and purchase them. I had a very buddies that have have ksport on their cars which they track and drive very hard and the reviews I got were mostly positive. Another consideration was my roads, I am lucky to be in socal, the roads are decent, if i live somewhere like in the east where it snows and stuff...screwed that.. lowering springs all the way. But if you guys decide to get coilovers, make sure you install them correctly and get them corner balance. but yeah coilovers are not for everyone so before you get coilovers make sure you consider your driving surroundings. my camry isnt no race car, but boy i can sure give a few higher end car a run for their money. with my current setup, my camry handles pretty well on the track for a camry.
agreed with V6SEcamry.....
if youre gonna spend the money, just buy either the TRD/eibach/TIEN lowering springs or the Ksport coilovers....youll thank yourself in the long run
