Projector Questions

Hey guys, i finally saved up enough money to get HIDs but i was wondering i know some projectors on cars are made for halogen bulbs and when you install HIDs it looks like crap. I was wondering anyone get HIDs and leave the stock projector on and how does it look?

Just keep in mind if and when you get a hid kit, cover your squrrel spotters.

From what some users have mentioned about their projectors:

After putting on a homemade cutoff shield (usually with weld/alum. can), the glare is greatly reduced. However, the main difference between xenon projectors that you may notice is the quality of the cutoff. So if you have the time and money~ go for a retrofit.

from what i understand it won't "look like crap" but the beam pattern won't be as nice and uniform as if you had a real projector in your headlight. There are a few HID experts on this forum as well as a ton of threads, try the search function.
