5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
That's probably a Photochop. First off, I don't see any tires anywhere. Second, I think the Camry was dropped "artificially" as well.
You wouldn't be able to turn the steering wheel with those rims on.
good call! it was photoshopped, but the size of the rims were calculated to be around 21" and theoretically it can be done with 225/30 tires and a lot of fender work such as rolling and pulling, and lowering on coils would play a part too. thats what i call wishful thinking.
ordering ksport coils soon as i have heard good reviews about it from local car shops here. would retail around 1100 canadian before taxes
yeah, the other guy here, running the black SE with the 20s and eibach springs, is also thinking of getting it so we might get a group buy or group rate.
he had experience with ksport before and he said it rode a bit better than tein ss or tein basic since the ksport had the dampening system as opposed to tein being a straight up and straight down coilover. stiffness is adjustable and can be set to mimic close to factory softness of the suspension.
im already lowered right now, but there still is a finger gap this just plain kills me.
going with coils will be a big project since i will also need to roll my fenders so i can have the car sit with a no finger gap or maybe even a bit of a tuck

ever thought about going with some classy 20" rims instead? that'll clear the gap quite nicely.

yea i have thought about switching to 20" rims, but then, even though it would seem to fill the gap, it would raise the car's overall height. and, im not particularly fond of seeing my car riding like a 4x4
