well they are 18x7.5 with a 50+offset. i aplan on running 225/45/18. i dont much about wheels. but they are 18 inches but this is what the diameter reads. is that normal?
Yea, peel those weights off yourself and clean the adhesive off. 18" is measured at the bead of the tire. There is a groove behind the lip you are measuring where the bead seats into.
Those things are called sticky weights. They're used on alloy wheels because they are generally considered more aesthetic than the weights that are clamped on since there would be nothing to cover those.
You should be able to just peel them off with some heat and maybe some adhesive remover.
Yeah, you can take them off or the place mounting the tires can take them off. They may or may not reuse them because they won't know where to apply them until after the tire is mounted.
How much do they weigh? They look like maybe 24-26 lbs
im not positive on how much they weigh. i dont have any sort of scale. but i thought they would be much more heavy when i went to pick it up. thats basically all i know lol. for all i know they are super heavy. but i like the way they look even though i know alot of people here dont. its basically my attempt at being original. i looked at the lexus rims alot. and just decided against them. i love the look of 5 star wheels. unfortunatly for me i dont think gen 5.5s look good with 5 stars. these wheels have a negative space 5 star and i thought that was really cool looking. its really hard to tell until i get them on the car. could go either way i guess. but i think ill like them. i still never found out if 50+ offset is kosher for my car. would it be advised to jack my car up and throw one on just to have a look-see to see if everything clears before i mount tires on them?
i was under the assumption any factory wheel is hubcentric. am i wrong on that? they are off a cx7. i basically stold these wheels! got them for sooo cheap. zero blemishes too.
