Navigation update for gen 4 Nav system
Hi fellas, I thought I would share my thoughts on the new Nav DVD for Gen4 Nav. I know that the 07+ Camry uses Gen 5 Nav and the latest DVD for it ver 7.1 ditches the I agree screen. I got a hold of gen4 Nav which my 06 gs uses and it still has the I agree button. I was surprised when a street that was completed in early 06 was still not on the map,(it affects my routes from my home). It does have many new streets from nearby areas that have recently developed. Also, the Gen 5 Nav has many more POI icons, but the Gen 4 does not have these. I puched in Walmart for example and it did not have any of the nearby stores on it, nearest one was like 18 miles away !!! There is probably 7 in a 15 mile radius. Overall, I am not sure if I got anything with the upgrade. I must assume this is relevant for the 06 camry with nav....
