Gen6 The Colorado Run

I got up up to Colorado today the roads were ice and snow in allot of places. i drove easy to see how the car did on this kind of road. A nice steady smooth style worked well and the car felt very solid and I felt very little slip.
I got on a steep hill icy and packed snow when I steped on the gas the front end broke loose and got a little out of shape then recovered as the traction returned. Kind of normal I would say for a frontwheel drive vehicle. I never really pushed the car because the roads are very unforgiving in Colorado you screw up you could end up a long way down. The tires are
Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 225-45-18 I used the automatic shift to down shift on a hill and it never tried to slide and held the car in a steady downhill speed. I liked the little box with the number for which gear I was in made it easy to drive up and down hills.I think for the first snow test Camry did well. I want to get it in a big snow packed parking lot and slide it and check out the recovery and get a feel for how it would react if you lost control. First impression is it felt like I would take it to the ski lift but I would want cables on for the long climb.

Welcome to Colorado, where our roads are crap!!!

My SE holds up great here, haven't had a problem yet in the year and a half I've owned mine.

I did watch the big chunks of what is usually frozen sludge that fall out from under trucks. I did not get into any snow deep enough to plow through. I was lucky and before it got cold I got to give the car a very good coat of Liquid Glass wax and that has so far been great the water comes off real quick. The road grime seems to not be as bad as I know it gets in the snow.
We are going to get it here (snow) that is so I may get to do more testing. Not on the list of favorite things to do but then thats winter.

Hey Evan Lone Tree is up by Denver or where. I am actually from Pagosa Springs but I live here in Aztec in the banana belt hahahahah!
Ya the roads in allot of Colorado are crap. With our SE stiff springs I am sure they beat the crap out of you. I have not had that pleasure yet, talking about the body kit. What about the rocks. I was through Ouray about a month ago and the drive was dodge the rocks on the road all the way over Red Moutain. I was in our Benz Slk 230 and it sits high compaired to the Camry

Lone Tree is about 20 miles south of Denver, off of I-25 & Lincoln Ave. If you know where Highlands Ranch or the Park Meadows Mall is at then you know where I am. I work and go to school in Downtown Denver. Not too familiar with Pagosa Springs or Ouray, I know where they are, but they aren't near me haha. I am originally from Aurora though. Glad to see you made it through here though, our roads are crap. We haven't gotten much snow this year, well the mountains have, but we are expecting another round of snow tonight.
