Gen6 Airbag light came on

Last Thursday - Dec 5th ; I was out on the road, starting out in the AM was just fine..the dashboard had no warning pilot lights...I stopped to get lunch around say 12:30PM...started the car say around 1:15PM and the airbag light was on solid. Ten minutes later I went to see another customer, came back, started the car...the airbag light was off....strange....I drove back to my office parked and then came back later in the night...there she was ON Solid RED, again...

So, I called my dealer on Friday and set up an appointment for early in the AM today. They said it shouldn't take that long - maybe 45 min and so I waited for it...well, it took more like 1-1/2 hours ; and finally I was told that it was:

> Error Code B1801 Open in D Squib Circuit and they placed D Squib on order

They said the part should be in on Wed or Thurs of this week so I am back in on Friday to get it installed. Until then the Airbag light is on solid red.

I have a 07 Camry CE 5 speed.

Wondering if anyone had the same experience....

Got the car back around 3:30PM ; the dealer fixed the Airbag light...it's off now...

The diagnosis was "Tech diag & replaced driver's side clock spring, cable sub-assy D Squib in circuit". Dealer warranty.

to the dealer ; nice job....

It's a small dealer ... not Herb Chambers or Ira...I am not so sure Herb or Ira would be this good...

Westborough Toyota (& Dodge) in Westborough, MA.

My first experience with them (as it would be...since it's my first Toyota) ; so far been fairly pleased. I have had three warranty related things done there and they did it all w/o raising eyebrows, makin' smart remarks etc...they even offered me a ride to my office, I turned them down since I had a friend (colleague) coming by to pick me up...
