why do you need lights, shouldn't you be watching the distance of the car ahead of you anyway? isn't depth perception the advantage of having 2 eyes? I always judge by distance and not depend on brakelights due to smoked out or broken ones.

I'm sorry for your loss. I would have used the accident as a reason for not writing that exam. Especially if the exam was going to be hard, I'd say that was a god-send.

It's all about reaction time... if you can't see any lights and they brake suddenly... that's trouble right there... but since he was rear ended... it doesn't matter, it's the other driver's fault... of course unless he somehow finds this thread and makes up an excuse for the tinted tails...
