Doh! - stupid plastic skirt tabs :|

Soo.. I was going to an exam and had to park, only spot left had some snowy/ice bumps (don't know what else to call them) so I slowly went over them and parked.

I finish the exam decide to leave and slowly reverse out, I hear a crunch and stop. I look outside and F*** two of the tabs on the skirt broke and the side of the skirt is now popped out.


Gonna take some pictures of it don't know what to do

This just had to happen during exams to add more stress.

Any idea if urethane will hold? its only the one side and I think if i can get a replacement LHS Bumper extender I think its called(in repair manual) it may hold it in and only the tab area will need to be secured.

No other cracks or damage..

Any suggestions?

hahaha... yea, welcome to the club... id you pick up the broken tabs? if so, I suggest plastic welding them back on

Ahh I could really use those tabs then, they fell inside I would assume they should still be there on top of the shroud?(maybe not though since I had to drive quite a distance afterwards, didn't think of taking tabs out )
Mista if any of your tabs are still intact I'd appreciate that

what about using some double sided tape?

also try driving a screw in there in the fender well.
My body kit on my gen 4 had 2 screws along the fender holding the back bumper in place

it's the front bumper

oh, well then... you have the same problem as I do, except my broken tabs are on the passenger side

Yeah I don't really want to put screws in it :| I gotta finish exams first before I can put the car outta commission and take apart the bumper to see what I can do.

If anyone has any plastic tabs from a gen6 SE skirt(front or rear, think all the tabs are the same) or if you come across any I'd appreciate if you could PM me.
