Tips on keeping clean...

Hey everyone a long time reader here, first time poster. I recently bought a Super White 2008 Camry LE I4 with tan interior. I live in Minneapolis, MN in the cold. I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to keep the interior clean, especially the rugs???

Thanks again, its good to be finally on here.

Buy floor mats from the part store to lay over, or in place of your factory mats.

Put the carpet mats in storage and get Camry all weather mats.

Do not lay over mats on top of your factory mats!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they discontinued the Camry All-Weather mats, I got the WeatherTech ones instead, similar quality.

You would definitely need the rubber mats for the winter time if you want to keep them clean. Rubber mats are easy to clean and works well with snow.

Check the NTSB recall on floor mats and make sure the mats don't get shoved aginst the gas and send you out of control. Ya I have the same problem with my mats getting trashed and I can't find any mats that secure in the hooks.

I bought a set of rubber mats from Costco and use them all year long. They are much easier to clean than carpet mats. I haven't noticed them interfering with the pedals although my clutch pedal has wore a notch into part of the mat.

If you get takeout, put the food on the floor mats until you get home. Sometimes stuff can leak out of the bag onto your seats. No open drinks in my car period. Only the screw on cap style bottles, no coffee lids or anything like that.
