TSB NV008-07 (Dash Rattles)

My local friendly dealer performed this TSB due to my dash sounding like a loose styrofoam cooler lid on cold days. It worked perfect and am so happy the squeaks are gone. It took them about four hours and they didn't mess up anything in disassembling the dash. Highly recommend this TSB if your dash is squeaking.

I just had this done as well. I couldn't be happier with the results.

is there a pdf of this? My dash is squeaking but I've just put it up to the cold weather.
Just all sorts of ticks and cracks. Sounds like its coming from the clock area thing and the front dash in general :|

Quick solution turn the volume up.

No PDF - I heard the same thing from the general area around the clock. I would slap it, press it down and it would stop. It would then come back and I would crank up the stereo. Finally took a day off and took it to the dealership. The service writer took care of me and was familiar with the TSB. They basically reinforce all the upper dash clips with some sort of felt tape and bolster the seals around the vents. Whisper quiet since the fix.

Guelph Toyota did the TSB to my 07 SE I4 just an month ago and it turned out to be great result. No more dash noise in the cold morning. I think they all kown the dash noise problem very well. It took them 4 hrs to complete the job as per TSB. They had to remove the entire upper dash to add felt paper to all the clips, adding foorm to some other areas as well.
