USA "House of Wheels" Lexus Take Offs in Raleigh,NC

Hello,

I am ready to do my first modification. I'm calling dibs, unless you saw it first without reading this post. (I trust my fellow TN'ers)

The place listed below is advertising a set of Lexus wheel take offs on craigslist. When I run them through google I can locate their address but their website is down and their cached version looks pretty unprofessional.

House Of Wheels
3331 Capital Blvd
Raleigh, NC
919-878-5060

http://www.houseofwheels.net - There website is down

Here is the cached version:
http://209.85.173.104/search?q=cache...lnk&cd=1&gl=ca

Can any fellow TN'er vouch for the authenticity of this shop in Raleigh,NC?

Would any TN'er that I could hook up, look into this for me.

Post directly to this thread.

Best Regards,
Studio17

^ They are advertising a set of Lexus 18" Takeoffs w tires just like Lammydi's wheels. Those wheels are

My concern is that since they aren't up and running anymore they may just keep the money and not send the wheels. (It's not like ebay or a forum where the reputation follows them around)

No point in calling dibs... every other camry on this board has the GS rims... you'd just be added to the list... no uniqueness in that

Clever title for a weekly 'GS rims' thread

Hahaha... I know... I was going to invite him over to make a comment...

I think we should start a petition to make the rims standard on the new 09 or '10 camrys.. or atleast make it an option

I give this advice whenever I see this sort of situation...if you have reservation DO NOT DO IT. Wait until you are comforatble with the entire situation then do it.

Lol... actually there is a point in calling dibs. On our E46fanatics forum we call dibs in the order we see something. Then someone calls second dibs, etc. etc. (This only for board members with good reputations)

The reason we do it so that there is no bidding wars, which works great for the buyer and then the seller is not flooded with a billion requests. Most importantly it doesn't make fellow board members want to kill each other for swooping in on a purchase another one saw first. It works amazing.

EDIT: I think we have had a miscommunication. I am not calling dibs on that mod, I am calling dibs on that particular set of wheels that is currently for sale by that buyer.

Gasp, and take away the uniqueness of all the secksy looking rides that have them? The design works really well with the body style.

You are 100% right.

You would be my hero. I would figure out some way to make it up to you. If a fellow TN'er would over see it, then I would feel comfortable with the buying process.

I just received an email from the seller:
"sorry...its not letting me up load the pics correctly...if u want come by at 3331 Capital Blvd, Raleigh NC"

You got that right! I think I was the first Gen6 on this board with the GS rims, and thought it would be great to have a unique Camry. With so many other people riding on these rims now, I'm thinking of trading for a different set of wheels, something with a nice polished lip.

Even with a dozen or so members on here with them, this is still not common on the road, I have yet to see one on the road like this. It is still a rarity and those rims complement the camry very nicely. Heck they look great on many cars, camry, IS, heck even SC looks real nice with those.

If it's on Capital, I generally stay away. Too many shoddy fly by nights set up shop on Capital. Check out Eyekutr or the lexus forum for some good contacts. Also, some Lexus dealers give some great deals on take-offs. Anyway, good luck.

I agree, your car is looking pretty plain with those wheels

So why don't you sell them to me and get some nice ones with a polished lip
